The Parable of the Virus

Comments

I’ve been pretty swamped this week and haven’t had time to write anything with quality content. So, here’s another parable I wrote for my class:

“The network of God is like a latent computer virus that infects a mainframe and spreads throughout the entire system, slowly hijacking every machine from the inside out.”

    Hi Blake,
I am doing an essay on contemporary metaphors for the kingdom of God. Do you mind if I use yours?
  • chutney. that's exactly what i was trying to do with it. i'm glad someone besides me was able to get that out of it. great minds indeed. thanks for stopping by!
  • Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I used this in a sermon this morning. Thought it sounded like a great paraphrase of the parable of unleavened bread.

And then I come back to day so I can add the link when I post my sermon, and I find that you are talking about leaps of faith too. (Though I was thinking more along the lines of Kierkegaard.)

    Great minds think alike, eh?
  • haha. yeah, that's true. hmmmm, i wonder if that's a parable...
  • It's a good thing the network of God doesn't use Macs, or the virus wouldn't work. ;)
