A life update
I don’t do this often, but I’m in the mood and lots of things have been going on lately, some of which pertain to my blogging.
First, my trusty iBook passed away last week. It served me well. The good thing is its been teetering for a while now so I had everything backed up. After I lost all my music a while back I’ve been paranoid. So I back things up often these days. Leopard even has this cool timemachine thingy that lets you do that on the fly. Which, brings me to the next thing. I am now the proud owner of a Macbook. And it is awesome. I didn’t realize how old (and slow) my iBook was until now. And I actually have a big enough hard drive!
Second, seminary is taking up way more time than I originally thought. At this point I’m not even working (which I hope to be soon) and I’m barely finding time to get everything done. Which is fine. I like to stay busy and I am, for the most part, enjoying my classes and all the things associated with them. But that means other things (like blogging) aren’t happening as often. So I’m going to cut back a little. I already have to some extent. Even though I really like them, I probably won’t do any series for a while and my posting frequency won’t be as often. I’m going to try and log one substantive post a week and maybe, if I have time or find something interesting, I’ll throw up some short thoughts here and there.
My RSS reader — just the blog section alone – is bigger than ever and I plan on continuing to read things, but my commenting won’t be as often. Now that I think about it, it wasn’t very often in the first place. That will be something I look at once I start posting more often later on.
So basically my public presence (writing and commenting) in the blogosphere will be truncated for the time being. Sad, I know. But that just how it goes.
